About Natural Testosterone Supplements in Questions
What are good natural testosterone supplements/stimulants? Could anyone recommend some testosterone stimulants/supplements for naturally producing testosterone, I am looking for a safe supplement to help promote muscle growth, lab engineered stuff is ok, like the stuff you can pick up at GNC as long as it is safe and not a "pseudo"steroid. Just looking for healthy alternatives for a hardgainer, so any supplement suggestions or products would be great!

Justin S replied: "100% Whey Protein L-Glutamine Creatine"

Mass Nutrition replied: "Hi, You have the herb Tribulus Terrestris, it helps signal your testis to produce more testosterone. You can get it from products such as Biotest Tribex, BSN Axis-HT and Nutrex Vitrix. Besides that, for muscle mass and strength take a look at BSN Cellmass. Hope this helps!"

are there any types of safe natural testosterone supplements i can take for hormone replacement therapy? something my mom would approve of or anything you can find, that works,if there is any, and this is for transgender

barefoot_dragonfly replied: "You might try a consultation with a naturopathic doctor or a certified herbalist. There are plants that mimic the human body's hormones (such as soy being phyto-estrogenic - i.e. containing an ingredient that the body perceives as estrogen). An ND or herbalist can give you an idea of what dosages, products and options you have in the natural supplement world. Best of luck!"

James G replied: "Zinc increases the production of testosterone but I do not know if it is strong enough to assist the transgender process. Also, you cannot take to much of it. No more than 15mg a day."

Diane replied: "I'm sorry, but NO, there isn't, There is no herbal supplement that will have ANY significant hormonal effect on the human body. If you want hormone therapy for GID, you'll have to do it with a pre ion from your doctor."

Ed Atun replied: "Nothing really works. Everyone tried goat testicles and that stuff but it doesn't work.."

Are there any natural supplements to produce testosterone in a female body? I am transgender FTM and I cannot afford hormone therapy.

zen replied: "None that I know of. I'm a female who uses testosterone cream...for my libido. It's pre ion tho. I do know that if one uses too much, it can cause a deeper voice and facial hair...so I just use a tad bit..ha. Check the internet for over the counter testosterone creams. I know they are out there..just don't know how potent."

samantha w replied: "NO ! btw you can STRAP horns ON a cow, but she will never be a BULL! XD"

Emily Parker replied: "I can't think of any. I would suggest trying to find a way to get your hormones for free. I know my friend is getting his hormones for free for at least a year. Check out your local LGBT center for help."

Kathryn W replied: "No you need to use the injectible testosterone. Every FtM I know has been taking shots and it is the only way I know of. You need to save up for the doctor, then with a pre ion you can try to get the drugs mail order WITH a pre ion. I understand it being tough financially, I am disabled and I have a limited income but I can get my medicines as necessary by following the rules."

Does taking natural testosterone enhancing supplements like Zinc and body building pills cause testicles? to shrink ?

Andrew replied: "No, highly unlikely. Any natural testosterone enhancing supplement such as ZMA is unlikely to have that effect because it doesn't really cause your T levels to go sky high, even if you're relatively young. Only when you're one of these pro bodybuilders who inject themselves with potent steroids that really raise testosterone to ridiculous levels in their body are you at risk of ever running into that."

Thoughts on sports supplementing with natural testosterone? Resently I have heard about sports supplementing with testerone boosters. For those of you have used both creatine and testosterone what works better? Also, can sports supplementing with testosterone help you develope faster when it comes to puberty?

lv_consultant replied: "test boosters only help those with reduced test production for dietary reasons such as low zinc or other vitamins, etc. it does not cause test production to go above and beyond natural production levels. for anyone under 25 it's a complete waste of money as natural levels are still high. if you aren't seeing the gains that you desire from your efforts in the gym your problem is the diet like most people. when it comes to building muscles the diet is 80% of the equation, going to the gym and traning heavy is the easy part."

anyone knows where to get NATURAL testosterone powder? i am looking for moderately supplementing with natural testosterone derived from plant. I have read that it comes from either soy or wild yam. If anyone has any info on the whole thing, please share. I came up with low testosterone and dont want to do the HRT done with the salts which the doctors are prescribing. Help!!!!!!!!!!

kmp2 replied: "I'm not sure the soy isoflavonoids are going to help. Soy isoflavonoids help with estrogen functioning. As for wild yam, according to this article: using a progesterone cream may help with low testosterone. You can get wild yam cream at many different health stores, or try it online. (ex.) Hope this helps!"

Lotus Cat replied: "DO NOT take soy or wild yam. Soy is antagonistic for natural testosterone production. Wild yam is said to provide women with progesterone but that is debatable. Even so, you dont want that if you are a man. Its a WOMANS supplement ONLY! There are ways you can boost testosterone without taking testosterone itself. You can try herbal products that are aromatase inhibitors. Aromatase is an enzyme that converts testosterone to oestrogen so by blocking this enzyme you increase testosterone. Chamomile tea: contains a natural aromatase inhibitor. Other supplements/products you should be able to find there that contain aromatase inhibitors naturally: propolis, grapefruit juice, passiflora incarnata/coerulea. Body builders often take chrysin (potent aromatase inhibitor), which is sourced from passiflora coerulea. But Passiflora incarnata, which is available in most health stores, is a source of another quite potent aromatase inhibitor called benzoflavone. Nettle root by blocking a testosterone-binding protein can increase testosterone. If you combine this with one of the aromatase-inhibitting herbs mentioned above it could boost testosterone. Try these and see if your testosterone levels are boosted. If not then you would have to resort to conventional medicine. Also worth noting is that if you are someone who produces alot of aromatase naturally, then even if you supplement with testosterone some of this will be converted to oestrogen. So get your aromatase levels checked out. Best wishes."

What Are The Effects Of Taking Testosterone During Puberty? I have a really fat face in proportion to my body and i've tried everything to get rid of it. I have heard that taking testosterone supplement (natural) gets rid of this, is this true? Thanks in advance.

George D replied: "Dude, look if you can wait until you're like 18 then try it, You don't want to f*** around with that at the time of puberty cause what if something happens, hmm what then? your penis might not get any bigger!! D: imagine that. Your balls might not drop! D: Your voice could go really high! or really really low... yeah anyway i wouldn't recommend it"

Blane replied: "I would wait till you are done maturing. Then if you don't like your face try it. Botox works well too so I have heard."

Joachin Murrieta replied: ""Natural" testosterone supplements are a fraud and don't work. If your face bothers you so much go see a plastic surgeon - if you can't afford that learn to live with yourself like the rest of us."

is there a diet or exercise that will naturally increase testosterone production without taking supplements? looking to work out and beef up, and I am getting older... so is there a natural, NON-SUPPLEMENT way to increase testosterone production?

Fear the Turtles replied: "Yes there are several ways. Do a google search for "how to raise testosterone levels" and you'll find lists of things you can do. Things like have sex in the morning, eat peanuts, get plenty of sleep, lose excess fat, etc."

Dawn M replied: "Increased weight or obesity leads to increased estrogen levels. Increased Estrogen levels leads to lower testosterone levels. Hence, try to shedexcess fat. Do not fast or skip meals to shed excess fat, though, because poor eating and an unbalanced diet leads to lower testosterone levels. Ideal Weight loss is 2kgs/month. Do not have a diet that is high in protein. This will lower testosterone levels. Reduce carbs, sugar, and oil content in daily diet. Regular eating habbit will prevent unwatned fluctuation of hormone levels. Excrcise regularly and if you are sexually active, have sex in the morning, as this will increase testosterone levels. Frequent sex increases testosterone levels and reduces weight. Eat peanuts, peanut butter, and olive oil. Reduce alcohol level, as this will decrease testosterone production. Relax and try to distress. Yoga and meditation will reduce stress level. Hope this helps. :)"

I am looking for a natural treatment to decrease Testosterone levels for prostate cancer.? My father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Because of his age, he is not a candidate for surgery. So his local Dr has started him on hormone therapy to decrease the levels of testosterone. He gave him a hormone shot to be repeated every 4 months, plus ordered a pre ion which will costs over $500.00 per month. My father does not have pre ion coverage with Medicare, only the VA covers medicine, but only if he sees a VA doctor, which is very far away. He, of course, is on a fixed income so he cannot afford $500 per month. We are making an appointment to go to the VA. In the meantime, does anyone know of any all natural supplement or treatment that can assist in the lowering of testosterone levels? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Win replied: "I know of some medicines that help regulate hormone levels and lower testesterone levels, but mostly in women. Am not sure in cases of cancer as in your father. The medicines are Diane 35, Aldactone, Diamet, Fincar. As far as costs are concerned, try a health insurance or try some medical loans. All d best, I wish ur dad luck with his health!"

Panda replied: "Your father should continue to take the pre ion that his doctor has recommended. There are no real substitutes here. This is your fathers life and it is far more important than money. If he needs financial assistance there are other options he can pursue. Please check with the local American Cancer Society who can direct you: You can also contact Cancer Care who provide free online counseling through their social workers. You can also ask for assistance directly through the pharmceutical companies who offer free pre ions to those who cannot afford to pay: Good luck."

Bob replied: "You may want to take a look here: They are running a clinical trial for men with advanced prostate cancer. Hope this helps. Good luck to you and your father."

ironenzyme replied: "Hi. My father also have had prostate cancer. He takes Zell oxigen, Comitris, Zyflamend and Vitamin D. He also drinks 1l of green tea and 1l of pomegranate juice. Medical doctors are astonishing!!! They don't believe it. my father had 35 in psa and now is in 1,2"

BCC replied: "Try saw palmetto. You did not say how old he is, but if his health is still fair, you may be interested in this."

warwickdelauney replied: "Your father's cancer may be very treatable depending on his Gleason score, PSA doubling rate and his general health. If your father is in good health (excepting the cancer), then hormone therapy may not be a good choice. It will make him feel tired, cause osteoporosis, and weaken him by causing him to lose lean muscle. You may get better value for your money by seeing a real prostate cancer doctor. That being said, here is an answer to your specific question. There are several natural products on the market which claim to control prostate cancer (PC). Most of these lower testosterone somewhat. If your father has not had much androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), and he has a clear bone scan, then he might try one of these products. The best of these products Medpro's prostasol from Holland and Medpro's PC SPES are expensive and hard to get shipped to the US (each cost $105 for just 60 capsules and you must take 9 a day to begin with). There are other cheaper prostasols sold by other companies (eg Dr Donsbach), but these are not as potent. They may work for your dad. There is a product Isoprost made by Pure Pre ions. These cost $60-70 per 90 tablets. The daily dosage is 4 tablets per day; so you could get by with two bottles per month. Compliance would be an issue, since you must take the tablets at the right time of day and (I think) between meals. Besides the "side effects" mentioned above, ADT is in general not a good idea because the PC cells generally adapt to a low testosterone environment and becomes untreatable. The herbal remedies often continue to work indefinitely: that is, the PC cells do NOT develop resistance. It is hard to give you better advice, since you haven't included enough information about your father's case. If you want more information feel free to email me. BTW, it is likely that a new prostate cancer vaccine PROVENGE which is likely to be approved by the FDA. May 15th is the review date. If your father has a cancer which expresses Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PAP), then he might try that. It is a one-time treatment which may help his immune system to recognize and eliminate some of his cancer cells. Best of luck. Warwick d"

Garnet replied: "I have no answers but my heart goes out to you and your Dad. I am so sorry to hear about this. I pray that your Dad will be alright. We have been through cancer. God bless you."

Dorothy and Toto replied: "Hi. First, your doctor is focusing on testosterone levels because he can't tell you about the many natural things that really can help your father, even if he is aware of them and wants to, which may not be the case. He is locked into treating with pre ion drugs by AMA policy, or face losing his license to practice medicine. You need to look at the bigger picture and put testosterone on the back burner for a minute, because just regulating his testorone won't do diddly for getting rid of the cancer--and that is a possibility if you can think in the alternative medicine area. Five hundred years ago, people said the world was flat. Today, people say that if the FDA and AMA haven't blessed something, it can't be real good. Well, here's something I know to be real AND good. It's a little different take on cancer treatment-- In 1990, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3-B, but I've survived. My doctors were great people, but they were limited to surgery, chemo and radiation by profitable AMA treatment policy. During the year in treatment, I started learning about alternative medicine. I'm a retired engineer, and this is what I've pieced together--our IMMUNE SYSTEMS become weakened by poor nutrition, lack of exercise and reduced oxygen. Once that happens, our body becomes vulnerable to common STRESSORS. Stressors can be environmental, like viruses, heavy metals, pesticides, food additives, electromagnetic waves or pollution. They can be internal things like emotional or job stress, or poisonous people in our lives. Aging is also a contributing factor. So this means: WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM + STRESSORS = DISEASE (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.) Our bodies have 60 trillion--yes, trillion--cells, and there are always some mutating into cancer cells, but a healthy immune system kills them before they have a chance to get a foothold in the body. It takes a LONG time, usually, or a high level of stressors, to weaken the immune system to the point where it won't do its job, but once cancer has formed, it will generally spread rapidly. THIS IS IMPORTANT! There are ways to BEAT cancer that are currently being used in Europe and around the world, and there are some great books on the subject. I know because I've read about 50 of them from cover to cover. Here's a list of the best ones. Some are out of print and getting hard to find-- "The Cure for All Cancers", ISBN 0963632825 "The Cure for All Advanced Cancers", ISBN 1890035165 "A Cancer Therapy", ISBN 0882681052 "Oxygen Therapies", ISBN 0962052701 "Hydrogen Peroxide--Medical Miracle", ISBN 1885236077 "The Natural Cure for Cancer--Germanium", ISBN 0533071410 "Killing Cancer", ISBN 0705000966 "Natural Cures 'They' Don't Want You to Know About", ISBN 0975599518 I know of people whose cancer has 'spontaneously remitted' (WENT AWAY for no known reason) AFTER they went on programs of herbs and nutrition to restart their immune systems. You and your family must look out for yourselves to stand a chance of being healthy. This is not a joke, and I'm not selling anything--just trying to help. I am using the things I learned in those books right now to fight off a second infestation of cancer. I've been at it for over a year now, and think I'm going to make it. Use what works for you, and pass on your success. Best of luck. AMA AND FDA-- The American Medical Association (AMA) and the pharmaceutical companies control medical law and the FDA in this country with heavy lobbying and a revolving door policy. WHY would they want to do this? It's about the money. In 2006, medicine (doctors, hospitals, researchers and pharmaceutical firms) received 2.1 TRILLION dollars--15% of the total earnings (GNP 13.7 trillion) in the U.S. This is astounding! It means MILLIONS of people worked the whole year just to pay the nation's medical expenses!! That's totally astounding, and just too big to care about individuals. "

nookie replied: "there are certain foods that your body processes as estroge."

toots replied: "I know soy is good for alleviating the side effects of the hormone shots i.e., night sweats and hot flashes."
