B12 is needed for DNA synthesis and is essential for the assimilation of iron and thus the formation of red blood cells ..... appetite supression likely has to do with the fact that B3 (niacin) ~ which is part of the B complex ~ is also being washed out .... lack of appetite, depression and diahhorea can be symptoms of B3 deficiency ... kind of defeats the purpose of taking them hey ....... likely it trashing your calcium supplies too.... insomnia can be related to low calcium supplies as can achy bones, bloating and constipation, headaches andmigraines, irritability and moodiness........ i highly doubt it will make you sleep ....... i would seek an wholistic alternative if i were you. it would be usefull if you told us what you were taking the meds for. i would start by not eating processed foods or drinks and base your diet around green plant food ........ so rich in calcium and magnesium for healthy heart bones and teeth and effective neural and digestive functioning ....... broccolli, kale, chard, buk choy, celery..... that'll get you some sleep .... juice them, eat them but do get them into ya mate........ plant food ... green green plant food is what you need.... add fresh lemon juice for some tang or juice it with a pear for sweetness....;0) haha ... sorry ..... sorry i didn't even completely answer ... wellbutrin fried my brains and had me flinging furniture across the room at the drop of a hat ....... i never got one wink of sleep on it ....... and i was as moody as all hail too .... so they upgraded me to Effexor 150mg ... i ended up on around 600mg a day of that toxicnastysludge .... misdiagnosed with bipolar/schizophrenia i was ....... my actual problem was that i'm coeliac, lactose intolerant and highly intolerant to processed sugar ......... i went and got reassessed after being on the meds for around 4 years and the physician was shocked i wasn't comatose on those levels of meds.... so yeah ......... i weaned off it and dealt with my food intolerances after being assessed by a naturopath for food and chemical intolerances....... that's what it did to me ....... made me near flip my wig. EDIT it is very possible that your "weird" feeling from taking the med is an intolerant reaction ....... your body is trying to tell you that it can't assimilate it ...... i would be looking long and hard at the list of side affects medications like that can have if i were you ........ thanks to that sludgeeffexor i can't go anywhere near sugar anymore ........ even fruits high in natural sugar makes my bones ache and fries my brains......... it is now well documented that Effexor can lead to diabetic conditions ..... Wellbutrin is in the same class of drugs as Effexor i think ....... ask your physician to fill you in on the side affects .... ask your physician if he would prescribe the same meds to his children or loved ones......... if they had the same symptoms...... ;0) peace baby "
